MSU Student Services Welcome Message

Lee N. June, Ph.D.

The division of Student Affairs and Services, Academic Student Services and Multicultural Issues supports the academic mission of Michigan State University to Advance Knowledge and Transform Lives by working to provide programs and services designed to enhance the Spartan experience and the MSU community. Dedicated to providing opportunities for the personal growth of students, faculty and staff, both inside and outside of the classroom, our goal is to make MSU one of the best living and learning environments in the world.

The following pages highlight many milestones, success stories and partnership opportunities. From programs dedicated to introducing the idea of higher education to middle school children, academic advising, tutoring and transitional programs for college students and career placement assistance for graduates, these achievements have been made possible by the private financial support we have received.

As we plan for the future we will continue to partner with members of our Student Services Alumni & Friends Network, corporations, faculty, parents, foundations and staff to help make Michigan State University an exciting community in which to live and learn. Enabling success in college as a result of a positive experience is our foremost responsibility; developing global citizens who will make significant contributions to society is the indirect result.

On behalf of the students, faculty and staff of Michigan State University, I am sincerely grateful to all who have partnered with us to build a Spartan community dedicated to success and look forward to partnering with you as we plan for the future.

Sincerely,

Lee N. June, Ph.D.
Vice-President of Student Affairs and Services
and Associate Provost of Academic Student Services and
Multicultural Issues

"I think back to the summer of 1955 when I could just barely get around on crutches, didn't have a formal education and needed a safe/nice place for my family, and MSU was there for us!"
