The Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities Bristor Adaptive Sports and Recreation Fellowship was established to further the legacy of Dr. James Bristor who was committed to making athletics and recreation accessible for persons with disabilities. Florence Harris served as director of the Office of Supportive Services from 1979 to 2000. The Florence Harris Scholarship is to encourage and assist students who have demonstrated the capacity to achieve educaitonal and processional goals, motivation and initiative coupled with high academic achievement are the hallmarks of the recipients of this award. The Mary Beth Knox Scholarship was been established by her sorority, family, and friends in effort to offer financial assistance to a fellow member of the Greek community while simultaneously working to keep the memory of her incredible life alive at Michigan State University.
