MSU's Gear Up Program provides post-secondary, career based information and tutorial assistance to thousands of middle school students from Albion, Detroit, Lansing and Jackson. For over forty years MSU's Upward Boundprogram has helped hundreds of high school youth in the Lansing area from low-income families or families in which neither parent holds a bachelor's degree to complete high school and enter a post-secondary educational institution.
