The Learning Resources Center(LRC) first started serving MSU students in 1969. Today, the Center is led by Director Fred Barton and a staff of four full-time specialists, a full-time office manager, two graduate assistants, and an undergraduate tutoring force of 25. The LRC sees over 14,000 MSU students per year through a variety of services and programs and offers specialized training programs with various units around the campus.
The mission of the Learning Resources Center is to provide course specific one-on-one academic support to MSU students, to help MSU students become more effective students overall, provide access to educational support and electronic literacy training for students and to provide assistance for faculty in areas related to test writing, learning styles and other pedagogical concerns.
