Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Resource Center

The Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender Resource Center leads and collaborates on university-wide initiatives to create an affirming climate and enhance academic and support services for Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay and Transgender students and their respective communities at Michigan State University.

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Support the LBGT Resource Center

Donations provide unrestricted support with impact focusing on enhancement of office center functions and support the following initiatives: Safe Zone and Ally Activation Programming,   Panel Discussions, Support Resource Development (videos, magazines, books), Annual Lavender Reception Event (student leader and graduates recognition event), and Leadership Development Support (conference attendance and major speakers).  If you are interested in making a gift please contact the Student Services Advancement Office at (517) 355-7535 or make your gift online today.

Support the LBGT Resource Center Renovation Project

This past spring, with the support of the Vice-President for Student Affairs and Services, the LBGT Resource Center will begin renovations that will enhance the current space to meet the needs of a growing community. The cost of the expansion is estimated to be approximately $40,000.  Once completed, the center will be configured to promote maximum student interaction and provide a reception area with seating, a place for meetings and a new resource library.  Learn more about the project or make an online gift to support the Renovation Project.


The Pride Scholarship

The Pride Scholarship is awarded to an incoming, first-year MSU undergraduate student. Although preference is given to an incoming, first-year student, all students are welcome to apply. A minimum scholarship of $3,000 will be awarded. Make an online gift to support the Pride Scholarship.
 
 

 The LBGT Students of Color Scholarship

The LBGT Students of Color scholarship is awarded to MSU students who are active in addressing issues for students of color who are lesbian, bisexual, gay and/or transgender. Its purpose is to recognize individuals who help to end the stigma that racism and homophobia leave in ALL communities. A scholarship of between $300 and $1,000 will be awarded to a full-time MSU undergraduate student.  Make an online gift to support the LBGT students of Color Scholarship.
