June Endowment for Multicultural Counseling Services

Lee N. June, Ph.D.
Multicultural development is a life long process that is an evolving, learning, teaching and at times an uncomfortable process of confronting and challenging our relationships, attitudes, values, beliefs, and biases.

For the Counseling Center, multicultural development envisions a goal of an enriched individual and an enhanced professional delivery of services to our diverse student, staff and faculty population.  In honor of former Counseling Center Director Lee N. June and his contributions to advancing the multicultural counseling services at MSU, the Lee N. June Endowment for Multicultural Counseling Services has been established to provide funding to enhance multicultural counseling programs and services for students.

"Safe Place is an invaluable organization that will forever be in my heart and mind. Since graduating from MSU, I have continued my work in service, now as an AmeriCorps VISTA for a non-profit organization in Detroit. The staff and volunteers are the most knowledgeable and caring individuals working hard around the clock at Safe Place, and I would not be where I am today without them. I hope to continue my work in service throughout my life, especially working on women's issues, including domestic violence."
