Recreational Sports, Facilities & Club Athletics

Michigan State University's Student Services department offers the following programs dedicated to help the MSU Community lead healthy lifestyles and develop leadership skills through sports and recreational activities.  To learn more about how you can help enhance the programs and services offered, please visit one of the following programs. 
 
The Intramural Sports and Recreative Service Department conducts and supervises a safe, supportive, active environment that is responsive to the MSU community's diverse recreative needs.  Learn more about how you can support the Intramural Sports and Recreative Service Department.
 
 
 
 
The MSU Sailing Center is located on Lake Lansing and provides many educational and recreational opportunities in sailing and boating for students, faculty, staff and the general public. The Sailing Center has taught more than 1,500 people how to sail to date through the "learn to sail" classes, about half of which have been MSU students. Sports Clubs at MSU are managed by the Intramural Sports and Recreative Services Department.  Learn more about how you can support a Sports Club Team 
 
 
 
 
 
Recreative Fitness and Services for Persons with Disabilities supports the Adapted Sports Festival, the MDSA Victory Games, and Special Olympics at MSU as well as provides resources to support students with disabilities in activities such as wheelchair basketball, bocce ball, weight lifting, swimming, and slalom competitions. The Bristor Adaptive Sports and Recreation Fellowship was established to further the legacy of Dr. James Bristor who was committed to making athletics and recreation accessible for persons with disabilities. With this fellowship we celebrate his legacy and help to preserve and further his vision of inclusion for persons with disabilities.
