A new initiative launched in 2008, the Bristor Adaptive Sports and Recreation Fellowship was established to further the legacy of Dr. James Bristor who was committed to making athletics and recreation accessible for persons with disabilities. With this fellowship we celebrate his legacy and help to preserve and further his vision of inclusion for persons with disabilities.
The fellowship position will be for a part-time student employee who will work for the Resource Center for Persons with Disabilities and serve as a liaison to the greater MSU community to assist and facilitate recreational opportunities for persons with disabilities. This position will be responsible for maintaining the Adaptive Recreation website for the RCPD as well as work with the RCPD disability specialists, the adaptive sports clubs, the intramural sports facilities and students, faculty and staff at MSU, this fellowship will help fulfill the mission of the RCPD to maximize ability and opportunity in the area of recreational services.
